1st Dance Class

Caroline on her first day of Dance

Today was Caroline's first day of dance. She has been so excited all week. Little does she know I think I am just as excited as she is. She keeps dancing around the house talking about being a ballerina. Her and Brad are practicing a new dance move they made up "the Swan" you should see it! It is really hilarious to see Brad leaping gracefully across the living room. HA HA! She really seemed to like her teacher and class. This fits her so perfectly. She can be such a girly girl. Wonder will she always be???

Uncle P's Birthday

August 13th! Happy Birthday to my little brother! We will be having a family get togther Sunday to celebrate so more to come on that. Our family LOVES birthdays. Actually not only did Patrick just have a birthday but is in the midst of celebrating his birthday week. Patrick although my baby brother is not only my best friend but one of the greatest guys I know. Now he is grown and not only is he my brother but my children's Uncle P. While my sister and I are quite opposite and while I have learned to appreciate those differences my brother and I seem to be from the same mold. I don't think there is any one person out there that is as much like me or that understands the way I tick like my brother does. He truely is the best friend one always hopes to find in life. If he was here with me every waking minute I think I would be just fine with that. I Love You Patrick and am so proud of who you are. Thanks for the greatest memories and the many more to come!!!

So as promised I finally got around to adding a few more pictures from Patrick's Birthday.

Skipping Stones

Saturday was suppose to be a busy day. Brad had ball tournaments in Memphis and the kids and I decided we would tag along for a long day in the HOT HUMID sun. The first game was just that. But by lunch the rest of the day became a wash or so we thought. It came a downpour which canceled the rest of the ball tournament so we headed home. Carson went down for nap and the rest of us changed into pajamas and decided on a lazy afternoon of movie watching. One movie down and it didn't take long before the rain had stopped and we got ants in our pants and were all itching to get out of the house. We decided surely the river would be deserted after the rain and gladly so. We decided to ride the kids down to the river. With a 3 year old and a 1 year old it is nice to be the ONLY ones at the boat ramp. We tried to show Caroline about skipping stones. Come on now, look hard for a special one that's smooth. But when your 3 the bigger the rock the bigger the splash right?! We ended up having a wonderful day. The weather was PERFECT! We just rode and rode with the windows down (Except when we splashed through the bottoms. The kids thought that was the best)We saw some deer and tons of bluebirds and lots of beautiful farmland which always looks so fresh just after a rain.

My Little HAM! What a MESS!

Why is it that we would never let our first child eat this way? With Caroline I always fed her with a fork or spoon never letting her really explore her food. Why because there was no need to make such a mess when I, as her mother, was SUPPOSE to help her learn to eat correctly, RIGHT? In fact I find myself still feeding her at times when we are learning to try new things. But by the second one, boy how willing we become to let them do for themselves because by the second one we seem to feel that the mess is some how worth our child's ability to explore... This is funny little Carson every night at supper. Because he wants to do it himself. But hey it keeps us on routine. Supper and straight to the bath. You surely can see why.

My little HAM!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

July 26th...Happy Birthday Daddy. No I didn't forget, I just now put the images on my computer. So wait til the smoke clears and you will see we are celebrating my dad's birthday. Just cake and ice cream this year. Although on the way there Caroline was SO EXCITED. She just knew in her words " we are going to Papa's birthday and eat some cake and he is gonna have balloons and all his friends are gonna be there!!!" If we could all look at the world with the joy of a child. Happy Birthday Daddy!! You are a lot to measure up to and because of that I have always set my sites high. Thank you for being who you are so that I have become who I am.
